Chocolate Orange Slices

Chocolate Orange Slices

Are you a fan of orange and chocolate? Then this recipe is definitely for you. These slices are AMAZING!! A simple treat that will impress everyone and will be devoured in seconds.

When making this recipe try to pick nicely round shaped oranges if possible. We also like to use rose water to make the chocolate orange slices smell totally irresistible but it’s optional, the slices smell and taste amazing anyway!

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 oranges
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 tbsp rose water (optional)
  • 300gr dark chocolate

Method:

  1. Wash the oranges and add them in a large saucepan. Cover with water.
  2. In a medium heat let the water boil, and once it does remove from the heat. Repeat this step 2 more times with clean cold water.
  3. The third time pour out the water and let the oranges cool down.
  4. Slice the oranges with their peel on.
  5. In a saucepan combine the water and sugar, mix it well until the sugar dissolves and bring to boil.
  6. When it boils toss in the orange slices and reduce the heat.
  7. The water and sugar will slowly become a syryp, just before removing from the heat add the rose water if you are using.
  8. Transfer the slices onto baking paper and wait until they dry.
  9. Melt chocolate over boiling water, and dip each slice into it.
  10. Transfer the slices on a baking paper and chill for about an hour until the chocolate is hard.
  11. Enjoy!

This looks amazing! It reminds me of something my grandma used to make for her mom for the holidays. This is something I really want to try.
