Walnut and yogurt cake


  • 250gr butter
  • 1 ½ cup sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 300gr yogurt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • A bit of salt
  • Zest of one orange
  • 500gr all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup grapes
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • 50gr cognac or any other alcoholic drink you desire


  1. Mix butter with sugar until white.
  2. Add the eggs one at the time and then add yogurt, baking powder, salt, orange zest and mix well.
  3. In a bowl put the raisins and cognac and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  4. Then add some flour and mix well.
  5. Add the rest of the flour and walnuts and mix well.
  6. Combine and mix all the ingredients, grease and flour a cake pan and add the mix.
  7. Bake at 160C for 1 hour.
  8. Enjoy your Walnut and yogurt cake!
