Dark Chocolate Healthy Bites

Dark Chocolate Healthy Bites

My grandmother  used to make this dark chocolate healthy bites using just walnuts. I loved them as a kid and as an adult I know how much healthier it is to have a few bites of these instead of stuffing my face with chocolate bars full of sugar. You can change the ingredients to your liking and add fruit and nuts you would prefer.

  • 200 gr of dark chocolate
  • Pistachios and walnuts
  • ½ tsp margarine (optional)

  1. Add the pistachios and walnuts in a food processor and chop in smaller pieces.
  2. Break the dark chocolate in small pieces and put in a microwave for a minute. Take out and the chocolate and stir with a spoon.
  3. Add the chocolate in for another half a minute.
  4. If you want you can add some margarine to give the chocolate a glaze finish.
  5. Lay out a piece of greaseproof paper.
  6. Take one spoonful of the melted chocolate and pour it on to the greaseproof paper to create the first bite.
  7.  One at a time create your bites and sprinkle each with the pistachios and walnuts.
  8. Add your chocolate bites in the fridge so the chocolate goes hard quickly.
  9. Enjoy!
