Chilli con carne

Ingredients:

  • 350gr minced beef
  • 2 medium onions
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 hipped tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp chilli powder or a chilli pepper chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tin of chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tbsps. of tomato puree
  • 2 cups of rise
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cup beef stock

 

Method:

  1. Fry the onion and garlic in 2 tbsps. of olive oil, until cooked.
  2. Then add the mince.
  3. Continue to fry for another 5 minutes while stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the tomato puree.
  5. Add all herbs and seasoning.
  6. After one minute add the tin of chopped tomatoes.
  7. Then add a cup of beef stock.
  8. Bring all to a simmer.
  9. Drain and rinse one tin of kidney beans, add to the pot and simmer for a further 10 minutes.
  10. Enjoy your Chilli con carne with some rise.
