Chilli con carne
Ingredients:
- 350gr minced beef
- 2 medium onions
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 hipped tsp oregano
- 1 tsp chilli powder or a chilli pepper chopped
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tin of chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsps. of tomato puree
- 2 cups of rise
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cup beef stock
Method:
- Fry the onion and garlic in 2 tbsps. of olive oil, until cooked.
- Then add the mince.
- Continue to fry for another 5 minutes while stirring occasionally.
- Add the tomato puree.
- Add all herbs and seasoning.
- After one minute add the tin of chopped tomatoes.
- Then add a cup of beef stock.
- Bring all to a simmer.
- Drain and rinse one tin of kidney beans, add to the pot and simmer for a further 10 minutes.
- Enjoy your Chilli con carne with some rise.
