Spaghetti With Tomato And Feta Sauce
This Spaghetti With Tomato And Feta Sauce can also be a great vegeterian dish, just use mushrooms or other vegetables instead of the sausage.
Ingredients
- 500gr spaghetti
- 1 can chopped tomatoes
- 200gr feta cheese
- 250gr sausages, chopped
- 1 big onion,
- 1 garlic glove
- 2 green peppers, chopped
- 1 large fresh tomato, chopped
- 1/2 tsp thyme or oregano
- 4 tbsps olive oil
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- Salt &pepper
Method:
- Chop all your vegetables and the sausage into small pieces.
- In a large pot boil the spaghetti and add a salt once the water starts boiling.
- In an other smaller pot add some olive oil and saute the chopped onion with the minced garlic.
- Cook onions until translucent and add the sausage.
- When the sausage is half done add the peppers and cook for a few more minutes.
- Add the chopped tomatoes, the fresh tomato and the sugar.
- Season and let the sauce cook in medium heat for 20-30 minutes.
- While sauce is cooking chop your feta into small cubes.
- When the pasta and sauce is ready remove from the heat and add the feta cubes in the tomato sauce.
- Sprinkle with some oregano or thyme and enjoy your mediterranean spaghetti.
