Chickpea and Tahini Dip
This Chickpea and Tahini dip is something we always make when we want a quick easy dip to serve with crisps, vegetables and crackers. It’s a delicious, refreshing and light dip to serve as an appetizer and impress your friends.
Ingredients:
- 400gr chickpeas
- 3 tbsps tahini
- 4 tbsps lemon juice
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsps olive oil
- pinch of salt
- pinch of sweet paprika powder
- Mint leaves(optional)
Method:
- In order to make this Dip quickly it’s best to use ready chickpeas that you can buy in a tin.
- If not then you have to let the chickpeas soak in hot water for at least an hour, drain the water and cook.
- Place the soaked beans in a large saucepan and cover with water.
- Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer.
- Let the beans cool and you can then use the beans to make the dip.
- Making the dip is very simple all you need in a food processor.
- Combine all the ingredients, chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic cloves, salt, paprika and mint leaves.
- Blend in a food processor and carefully pour in the olive oil.
- Transfer the dip in a little bowl and serve with vegetables or tortilla chips.
- Enjoy as an appetizer!
