Banana Breakfast Bars
This Banana Breakfast bars can be so versatile, you can really make these bars with ingredients you like. This is more of a basic recipe but i have made these bars so many times changing the ingredients or adding somethin new everytime. For example, if you prefer having something a bit more sweet you can add dark chocolate or coconut flakes, if you prefer something more nutty you can add lots of different nuts, walnuts, almonds, pistachios.
These bars are also perfect for a snack or a quick boost when you are at work. Whenever i want to escape work, i go make myself a nice warm tea, have a banana bar and i’m back in action.
Ingredients:
- 2 bananas
- Vanilla flavouring (optional)
- Honey (optional)
- 1 cup of oats
- 1 cup of brown flakes
- 1/4 raisins
- 1/4 walnuts
- 1/2 tsp salt
Method:
- Peel and mash the bananas.
- Stir in the remaining ingredients until you have a mixture.
- Heat the oven to 180°C and lightly grease a square baking dish.
- Put mixture into the baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-30 mins ,depending on your oven power.
- Once baked leave to cool and cut into bars.
